Toys: Out with the Old, In with the New
As you recall I bought a pair of 2007 Burton Mission Bindings a few weeks ago and I bit on my new snowboard purchase (Burton Triumph 2007) early last week. As I drove up to my driveway, I saw next to my doorstep a nice package in the shape of a snowboard. Sweet, I opened the box and immediately put on my new bindings. I put on my boots and was strapped into my board within 15 minutes.
Selling the old GNU
I bought this board a few years ago at a Ski Bonkers sale up at Northgate Mall. The sell snowboard/ski equipment for a slight discount, but there’s no refunds – all sales are Final. Stupid me believed what the fool said and thought everything would fit properly. Nope. The boots were good, but the FLOW bindings I got were too small for the boots I bought. I only found this out when I took those babies up to the mountains and I could barely go 2 runs before my feet were sore and bruised. It turns out that my old board and bindings were decently with my new boots so I’ve been using my old board ever since. It’s getting harder every year to take the old board out cuz it’s heavy as shit and take some work to carve.
After getting the new board, it gave me that extra push to put the old board on eBay. So after a few pictures, and some descriptive wording it’s going to be online tomorrow.
This season I’ll have a new toy to play with – let’s hope my shoulder’s aight by then.
p.s. There’s 4-6 inches of snow up in the passes….bring it on!
